Meadow Croft Garden Centre: A Night at the Garden Centre Association Awards!

Posted:

We found out earlier in the year that we’d been shortlisted in several categories in the Garden Centre Association Awards 2024. After months of anticipation, we were thrilled to attend the awards ceremony in July, surrounded by the best in the industry.

If you’re not familiar with the Garden Centre Association, they exist to provide garden centres with the resources and support to best serve their customers. However, garden centres that are part of the GCA must meet the highest retail standards and participate in an annual inspection process to maintain and improve these standards.

In their own words, “GCA members, large and small, set the benchmark for high retailing standards within the industry which others can only aspire to. The Association can proudly state that it represents the leading garden centres within the UK.”

The evening was a memorable one for everyone at Meadow Croft Garden Centre. We are proud to announce that we placed highly in several categories, highlighting our commitment to excellence and innovation in the garden centre sector. Here are our outstanding results:

In addition to these fantastic achievements, we were also Highly Commended for our hard work, entered into the prestigious Ruxley Rose Final, and our team member Kaye McMahon received an individual commendation award for her dedication and outstanding service.

Competing against all GCA-registered garden centres in the East of England, we are thrilled with the achievements we earned. They reflect the dedication and passion of our entire team, as well as the loyalty and support of our wonderful customers.

“I am so proud of what we have achieved and how Meadow Croft keeps striving to be the best. Super proud and grateful to all our staff who have worked so hard to secure these places and to our lovely customers who make it all worthwhile!” said Lisa Smith, Director at W.D Smith & Son

“I’m so proud of everyone to have achieved this level of recognition by the Garden Centre Association. Only the best garden centres in the country are registered with the group, so to get this many prizes was just brilliant. I hope the whole team realise what a great achievement this is.” added Michael Smith, Director at W.D Smith & Son.

We look forward to continuing our journey of growth and excellence at Meadow Croft Garden Centre and we’re feeling incredibly inspired by the recognition we’ve received.

A final thanks to our customers, team and everyone else who has been part of our success story - achieving awards like these wouldn’t be possible without you all!

If you’re based near Battlesbridge (or maybe even beyond!) and want to visit an award-winning, family-owned garden centre with more than 80 years of experience, come down to Meadow Croft Garden Centre.
