Top 10 Festival Favourites

March is the month of our Viola & Pansy Festival. 

Did you know? Our festival is the largest independent variety trial of these plants held in the world. 

This year, we hosted our nineteenth festival, with seeds of new varieties supplied by plant breeders from around the world; Germany, Japan, Holland, USA and UK to name a few. 

We had new additions to the festival this year which included craft stalls, live music, the Illy coffee van, and competitions. These were really successful and we will plan to incorporate these again next year for our 20th Anniversary Festival! 

As a horticultural garden centre, we are always keen to get children involved with growing their own, so we provided FREE goody bags for children who voted for their favourite varieties. Children could also get their facepainted and enter our very own Viola & Pansy Colouring Competition! Winners to be announced on Friday 1st April 2022. 

We are pleased to say we had more votes than ever before, and we can now announce our Top 10 Festival Favourites. 

The results were interesting so we have actually added an extra favourite to make it a Top 11, due to an improved variety as well as the old variety both reaching the Top 10.

Our beautiful Poinsettias have been delivered. They have been grown by our friend Ian Mills of Creswick Nursery near Dartford, his family nursery was started in 1907!
