Smith & Son) is committed to protecting the personal information (‘personal data’) of its customers, website users, and any other third party whose data may be processed for business purposes. This Privacy Policy outlines how Meadow Croft Garden Centre (“Meadow Croft”) collects, uses, maintains and discloses ‘personal data’ which is obtained during the purchase process of products and/or services, via its website or the Meadow Croft Garden Centre Loyalty App, or as part of any other service, event or offer provided by Meadow Croft Garden Centre. It also details what your rights are as the ‘data subject’, referred to hereafter as “you” or “your”. In this policy, “we”, “our”, or “us” refers to Meadow Croft. This should be read in conjunction with our Cookie Policy and the Terms and Conditions associated with the Meadow Croft Garden Centre Loyalty App and website where applicable.

You can access our website and browse our site without disclosing your personal data, but if you do provide us with your personal details, this will be regarded as acceptance of any applicable Terms and Conditions and as consent to process your ‘personal data’ for the purposes for which it was collected. Meadow Croft will never share your personal details with any outside company or third party (with the exception of required ‘Disclosure’ as outlined below).
Disclosure
We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so. We may also need to share your data with third-party providers for the purposes of processing payment transactions or to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. All payment gateways and payment transaction processors adhere to the standards set by the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Your purchase transaction data is only stored for as long as it’s necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
Our payment transaction processors, and any other third party we that we need to, or you have consented to, share your data with, have their own privacy policies with respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. Website
Our website is hosted by Ahead4 and they provide us with the online platform that allows us to share our products and services to you. Ahead4 manage the internal website systems, software and storage but do not process any personal data.

Our website may contain links to other sites/platforms of interest. However, when you click on such links, and are directed to other sites/platforms, you are advised that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy policies.
Meadow Croft Garden Centre Loyalty App
All personal data collected via the Meadow Croft Garden Centre Loyalty App is processed solely by Meadow Croft in accordance with this policy, both in terms of data collection and data security. The functionality of the Loyalty App is supported by Garden Connect and Davidson Richards Limited but these partners do not engage in the processing of any customer data. CCTV
Meadow Croft operates CCTV on site for security, health and safety, and crime prevention reasons, which means that you will be captured on this CCTV when you visit the garden centre. This also extends to our car park. All footage is automatically deleted after 30 days.
Photography
We regularly take photos and videos in store for use on our website, social media and other publications but, unless you have specifically consented, you will never be the sole focus of these images. If you do see any image of yourself which we have taken which you would like to be removed from the relevant media and/or stop using, please contact [email protected]. Whilst we are recording, we will always have signage making the public aware.
Data Collection
The type of data we collect depends on the service you are using i.e. customer enquiries, telephone/online purchasing, delivery services, marketing and/or newsletter subscriptions, ticketed events and other bookings. We will only collect data which we require to fulfil the service you are using or subscribing to.
Please Note: For some services, we may use your contact details to contact you by email or telephone if we need to contact you about your order/booking.
We may collect data through the use of cookies and your IP address to compile statistics about the use of our website, including data on user visits, usage patterns, and web sales. Security
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect in store or online. We also ensure that any third parties that we need to share your data with, for example, our payment gateways/payment transaction processors, Mailchimp (when you opt-in to our newsletter), etc. are fully GDPR compliant and that they use stringent security and encryption in order to protect your data.
Your Rights
At any point whilst Meadow Croft are in possession of, or are processing your personal data, you have the following rights:

• Right of rectification – you have a right to correct data that we hold about you that is inaccurate or incomplete;
• Right to be forgotten – in certain circumstances you can ask for the data we hold about you to be erased from our records;

In the event that we refuse your request under rights of access, we will provide you with a reason as to why, which you have the right to legally challenge. At your request we can confirm what information we hold about you and how it is processed.
Retaining Your Data
Unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law, we will only hold your data on our systems for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy or until you request that the data be deleted.
